Election 2024

May 7th, 2024 Special Election for
SRVUSD Measure E & Measure F Information

Our Associate level member, Mike Arata, shares detailed information about how to vote on Measure E and Measure F. Click here for the information and see some details below.

"Voters should oppose SRVUSD's Measures E & F on the May 7th Special Election mail-in ballot for three primary reasons:  (1)  The District's salary & benefit spending far exceeds the effect of inflation and enrollment growth (now decline) combined since 2015, when the  $144 parcel tax was last renewed; (2) District tax promoters are hiding a CPI price escalator in Measure E's nominal "$144 renewal"; and (3) SRVUSD is misleading the public on State test scores, comparing 2023 results only to 2022's already poor performance, not 2015-2019's."   - Mike Arata, local retired teacher and education advoc

Election Inspection and Testing

The Contra Costa Elections office recently publicly tested the vote-counting machines and inspection systems that will be used in our upcoming elections.

Members of the Contra Costa Republican Central Committee were on hand to view the process and test results.

The machines were tested by scanning over 6000 test ballots and comparing them to the known test results to ensure they were accurate. You can view the video below to see how the count turned out. Spoiler: it matched.

You can watch the ballot counting yourself! See theContra Costa County observer plan for more information.

We highly recommend visiting the Election office to learn how ballots are securely handled.
